New Years Day was totally overshadowed by "NEW SERIES OF SHERLOCK OHMYGOD" for us, and I instantly fell in love with the fabulousness of Irene Adler (played by the beautiful Lara Pulver!!). Even though I'm more of a Molly Hooper, I was taken in by Irene's glamorous outfits, and decided to try my hand at making her Alexander McQueen ‘Illusion’ Bolero Sheath Dress!!

The dress took a few days to make, as I had to add some adjustments and draft the bolero piece. It's made from ivory satin crepe (I looked at cashmere wool crepe and £36 per meter was a little out of my price range hahahaaa...), and the shoes/bling/phone are all borrowed from friends and family who were awesome enough to help me out

Hair-styling is by ~Xigalicious, using the intense power of a billion hair pins, a straightening iron, and this amazing tutorial

It was loads of fun getting pictures at the lavish Hilton Hotel, dancing at the Kitacon Ball with ~Xigalicious as my Sherlock, and being able to feel very very glamorous for the evening
